Abstract

The outer diameter measuring ruler makes use of the characteristic that the waist width changes along with the isosceles trapezoid which changes along the waist height, in measurement, the measuring ruler is inserted into a circular object to be measured, the lower edge of the vernier and the inner side of the ruler body are led to be in contact with the outer edge of the circular object to be measured, and the measurement data can be read according to the scale corresponding to the alignment line on the veriner. Any requirements on measurement precision can be met by the angle change of the isosceles trapezoid, but the measurement interval of the measuring ruler is shortened, and the requirement on large measurement interval can be met by a group of measuring rulers.
