The breeding method comprises the following steps of: selecting variant red shell color individuals in a natural population by taking a shell color as a genetic mark, breeding by combining with shell width, and performing selection and holding of parent scallops, hasten parturition and insemination, breeding of larvae and juvenile scallops, intermediate breeding, culturing and shell color identification, selection of a first filial generation population and fry rearing of a second filial generation so as to get the new red shell color scallop line with high dressing percentage of adductor muscle and strong stress resistance. The method is simple and easy to realize.
