The invention discloses a rapid numerical prediction method for flow resistance of a shellfish trap, and relates to the field of flow resistance analysis of a nuclear power seawater cooling system. A filter screen explicit modeling or experimental testing mode is mostly adopted for flow resistance analysis of an existing shellfish catcher, and the problems that the calculation scale is large, the simulation period is long, the cost is high, or parameters depend on experience, and the engineering applicability is insufficient exist. On the basis of a porous medium equivalent modeling thought, on the premise that the porosity of the filter screen is kept consistent, a filter screen area is replaced with a porous medium area, only the viscous resistance effect in direct proportion to the flow velocity is introduced, and through pressure drop comparison of an explicit filter screen model and a porous medium model, iterative fitting is conducted on viscous resistance parameters, so that the filter screen porosity is calculated. And fitting parameters are applied to the integral model of the shellfish trap, so that rapid numerical calculation of the flow resistance characteristic is realized.
