Embodiment Construction

[0056] The liquid products obtained are evaluated differently by in vitro bioanalyses as well as experimental greenhouse and field analyzes under production conditions. The results of the evaluation are shown below.

[0057] First, for bioassays using limited cultures of cucumber seedlings in agar, in vitro assays were performed to determine the antagonistic capacity against parasitic nematodes of the Meloidogyne genus (Fernández 2004). The method is summarized as follows:

[0058] Preparation of biological analytes

[0059] Cucumber seeds (commercially available variety Marketmore 76) were soaked in 5% sodium hypochlorite solution for 3 minutes. They were then washed with excess sterile distilled water. They were then placed in a wet chamber and germinated for 72 hours. Germinated seeds were transferred to 60 mL conical bottom plastic tubes (3x9 cm) containing 30 mL of nutrient agar solution (Hoffland et al., 1989) and then placed in an incubation room (25°C, humidity 8...

Abstract

This invention relates to a new nematicidal product for the biological control of plant pathogenic nematodes containing three new isolates of Bacillus thuringiensis strain N11, Bacillus mojavensis strain SR11 and Azospirillum brasilense strain ALo1, deposited in the Spanish Type Culture Collection (CECT) with the names CECT-7665, CECT-7666 and CECT-5856 respectively, which have a high antagonistic capacity against pathogens of this type, as well as the property of stimulating plant growth through different mechanisms. The invention also relates to liquid and solid formulations of the product which have good stability at room temperature and which are effective in the biological control of plant pathogenic nematodes and for stimulating the growth of plants.

Description

technical field [0001] The object of the present invention is a liquid or solid biological preparation with strong nematicidal activity and further rooting and plant growth stimulating and biological fertilization capabilities in seedbeds, hotbeds, greenhouses and general planting. New isolate of the microbial component of the preparation, Bacillus thuringiensis strain N 11 , Bacillus subtilis strain SR 11 and Azospirillum brasilense strain ALo 1 , and a method of producing the formulation are also objects of the invention. Background technique [0002] The need and importance of developing and expanding methods for integrated production and agroecology as alternatives to indiscriminate chemical products in agriculture to reduce the harmful effects of the latter has been recognized many years ago. The use of microbial biopreparations for the biological control of pests and diseases and the fertilization of commercial crops makes it one of the most promising alternatives i...
