Problems solved by technology

[0004] However, the current communication environment is becoming more and more complex. The current wake-up mechanism simply compares the specific format of a single data packet, thus easily causing the system to be woken up by mistake (false alarm)
For example, in a wireless communication environment, an electronic device may receive signals from many access points at the same time, but when the electronic device should not support wake-up requests sent by other access points, it receives signals from other access points. When taking the wake-up packet sent by the point, if the existing wake-up mechanism is used, the electronic device will still be awakened by mistake, resulting in unnecessary power consumption of the system

Abstract

The invention provides a network access device with a low-power-consumption remote wakening mechanism. One of embodiments of the network access device comprises a signal transmitting and receiving circuit, a demodulator circuit and a control circuit. The signal transmitting and receiving circuit is used for receiving a network signal, and the demodulator circuit is coupled with the signal transmitting and receiving circuit and used for generating a data frame according to the network signal received by the signal transmitting and receiving circuit. The control circuit is coupled to the demodulator circuit and used for wakening at least a part of components of an electronic device when at least two fields of the data frame fit a preset value or when a data frame comprising a specific field fits a specific receiving sequence.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a network access device, especially a network access device supporting a remote wake-up mechanism. Background technique [0002] Nowadays, electronic devices often adopt power-saving mechanisms to reduce energy consumption when idle or with low workload. In addition, the electronic device will also support a remote wake-up mechanism, so that even when the electronic device is in a power-saving state, other devices can still wake up the electronic device by sending a specific data packet, so that it can start normal operation . [0003] Common wake-up mechanisms include using a magic packet or comparing a certain field in a packet to see if it conforms to a specific format (pattern match). For example, the electronic device is woken up by sending 16 repeated MAC addresses (Media Access Control address), or a specific format is defined by the operating system, and the network access device of the electronic device compares the ...
