Abstract

The invention relates to an ultraviolet adsorption visible and transparent organic glass based on a ZnO quantum dot and a preparation thereof and belongs to the technical field of functional material preparation. According to the ultraviolet adsorption visible and transparent organic glass, the ZnO quantum dot is added into PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate) organic glass solution to form composite organic glass. The ultraviolet adsorption visible and transparent organic glass has a strong function of adsorbing ultraviolet rays and particularly can completely adsorb deep ultraviolet rays below 350- nm; and moreover, the addition of the ZnO quantum dot has not much effect on the visible transparency of the PMMA organic glass. The ultraviolet adsorption visible and transparent organic glass has potential application in multiple aspects that: a, the organic glass replaces a popular resin lens and can effectively protect eyes and prevent the damage of the ultraviolet rays; b, the organic glass can be made into various window glass, so that not only is the light transmittance of visible light ensured, but also a good function of preventing the ultraviolet rays is achieved; and c. while the ultraviolet rays are adsorbed, the visible fluorescence can also be released. The ultraviolet adsorption visible and transparent organic glass also has the application potential in aspects of ultraviolet detection and energy conversion. In addition, the ultraviolet adsorption visible and transparent organic glass has the advantages of simple preparation process, capability of batch production, green and nontoxic raw materials, low cost and huge application prospect and social benefit.
