The selection method comprises the following steps of: calculating and obtaining coal blending quantity of blowing coal in a new coal blending structure according to coal blending quantity of reference blowing coal; judging the sizes of the coal blending quantity of blowing coal in the new coal blending structure and powder manufacturing capacity required for blast furnace blowing; if the coal blending quantity of blowing coal in the new coal blending structure is larger than the powder manufacturing capacity, indicating that the new coal blending scheme cannot meet the coal manufacturing capacity of blast furnace blowing, and requiring to reduce the quantity of the blowing coal newly blended till the new coal blending scheme meets the coal manufacturing capacity of blast furnace blowing; if the coal blending quantity of blowing coal in the new coal blending structure is smaller than or equal to the powder manufacturing capacity, indicating that the new coal blending scheme meets the coal manufacturing capacity of blast furnace blowing; and finding out the new coal blending scheme with minimum cost in which the mixed coal heat values of the reference blowing coal are the same in the new coal blending scheme meeting the coal manufacturing capacity of blast furnace blowing.
