The modulation method comprises the following steps of adopting the PMU device to sample each convertor station in real time, calculating a voltage phasor value and corresponding power, outputting the phasor data, and transmitting the phasor data with a time scale to the control main station according to a clock signal of the GPS; and adopting the control main station to calculate a modulation power control signal of each loop of direct-current power transmission system, and modulating the power of each convertor station according to the modulation power control signal.
