Abstract

The title of the present invention is Display Card for Transportation System Updates, methods and systems that enable users of systems such as mass transit systems to receive status information about the system. The information may relate to one or more stations or vehicles along various routes of the system. A user is provided with a display device and one or more reading devices are placed throughout the system. The display device includes a display screen for displaying system status information, a driving circuit, an antenna and an induction coil. When the induction coil of the display device is present in the immediate vicinity of the electromagnetic field and the antenna receives the data signal, the induction coil transmits power to the drive circuit, and the drive circuit causes the display to display updated system status information.
