Abstract

The invention provides a WLAN load balancing method, a device and a system. The method comprises the following steps that: a WLAN scan request AP (access point) sent by a STA (station) is received; load information of the AP, network performance acquired by the AP, and network quality information are sent to an AC (access controller); the AC determines the AP needed to be connected by the STA according to the load information, network performance and network quality of each AP; and the AP of receiving the WLAN scan request sends the AP needed to be connected by the STA to the STA so that the STA initiates association with the AP needed to be connected by the STA. According to the invention, the problems of the inefficient STA network connection caused by an association-to-decision manner in the prior art and the problem of the poor user experience are solved. Furthermore, in the embodiment of the invention, the AP load information, network performance and network quality are taken into a full account to decide the load balancing, so that the load balancing decision is perfected; the whole network resource is fully used; and the load balancing can give a full play.
