Abstract

The invention relates to a plant cultivation method, in particular to a mint cultivation method. The mint cultivation method comprises the following steps: selecting and preparing land and applying basic fertilizer; planting and breeding; performing growth management; preventing and controlling plant diseases and insect pests; and harvesting, wherein the step of selecting and preparing the land and applying the basic fertilizer comprises the following sub-steps: (1) selecting flat fertile soil which is convenient to irrigate and drain, has sufficient sunshine and has not been used for planting mint within 3-4 years; and (2) preparing the land and applying the basic fertilizer, i.e., applying 3,000-4,000 kg of high-grade farmyard manure, 36-30 kg of urea, 75-80 kg of calcium superphosphate, 20-25 kg of potassium sulfate or 55-65 kg of three-nutrient compound fertilizer and 5-6 kg of compound micro element fertilizer such as boron, magnesium and zinc per mu as the basic fertilizer, ploughing and harrowing to level the soil and bedding, wherein the width is 1.6 m and the height is 20 cm. The mint cultivation method has the beneficial effects of simple planting process, high yield and low cost.
