The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding 85-95% of polyethylene glycol 6000 and 0.5-1.5% of sodium citrate into a jacketed pan, then adding purified water which is equal to the sodium citrate in weight, heating to 75-85 DEG C; adding 2-7% of a mixture of borneol and a fragrant source ingredient after carrying out thermal mixing for 30 minutes; rapidly uniformly stirring, then dripping the mixed liquid into paraffin oil being 0-7 DEG C while the mixed liquid is hot, so as to prepare a ball which is 1-3mm in diameter; centrifugally removing the paraffin oil; and packaging the ball into a proper container, so as to obtain the solid perfume, wherein the mixture of the borneol and the fragrant source ingredient selects polyethylene glycol 400 as a dispersing agent; the mass ratio of the polyethylene glycol 400 to the borneol to the fragrant source ingredient is 6 to 1 to 2. The preparation technology is simple and mature; the obtained solid perfume is lasting in sweet smell; the sweet smell can be kept for over six weeks in a high temperature condition in summer, and kept for over eight weeks in spring, autumn and winter.
