The present invention relates to perfume delivery systems, products comprising such systems and the use of same. Unfortunately current perfume delivery systems do not always provide the most preferred or ideal sensory experience. Thus there is a need for one or more perfume delivery systems that obviate the short comings of the current perfume delivery technologies. The systems of the present invention meet the aforementioned need as they employ symbiotic combinations.

Described are controlled, time-release microparticulate active and bioactive compositions (including perfuming compositions) for targeted delivery to surfaces such as skin, hair and fabric and the environment proximate thereto, where the active and bioactive materials have a calculated log10P values of between 1 and 8 (P being the n-octanol-water partition coefficient). Such compositions include the active or bioactive material in single phase, solid solution in a wax or polymer matrix also having coated thereon and/or containing a compatible surfactant. Also described are processes and apparatus for preparing such compositions and processes for using same. Furthermore, certain component(s) of the aforementioned compositions in combination with one another are novel, and other components have novel uses in increasing fragrance substantivity, particularly in hair care preparations such as hair gels and shampoos.

The present invention relates to a perfume composition for delivery of high impact accord perfume ingredients, encapsulated embodiments of such compositions and their use in laundry and cleaning applications.

A composition such as a water-based consumer product comprises material (e.g. perfume) encapsulated within shell capsules, each capsule comprising an encapsulating wall having an inner surface and an outer surface, with a coating on the inner surface and/or outer surface of the shell wall, the composition further comprising surfactant and/or solvent. The present application relates to encapsulated benefit agents, compositions comprising such encapsulated benefit agents and processes for making and using compositions comprising such encapsulated benefit agents. Compositions for providing controlled-release of an active material comprise a dispersant and microcapsules containing the active material and a stabilizer. The compositions contain the dispersant and/or microcapsules at relatively low levels to avoid negatively impacting the surfaces treated with the compositions. The active material is preferably a perfume and the composition provides a controlled-release scent, along with controlling malodor when the compositions further comprise optional odor control agent. A polymeric encapsulated fragrance is disclosed which is suitable for use in personal care and cleaning products. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the fragrance is encapsulated by a first polymer material to form a fragrance encapsulated polymer, the polymer encapsulated shell is then coated with a cationic polymer, preferably a cationic starch and guar.

An air freshening composition including porous carrier particles having a perfume composition entrapped therein, and a second component selected from an inert filer, hygroscopic agent, binder, coating material, moisture providing agent, and mixtures thereof.
