Abstract

Firstly, by means of the improved skeleton algorithm and the contour rebirth algorithm, primary contours of inflorescences of the flowering plants are generated; secondly, contour evolution is conducted by means of a driving contour model containing shape energy, so that the primary contours of inflorescences of the flowering plants approximate to the edges of the inflorescences of the true flowering plants; finally, corresponding flowers of the flowering plants are obtained according to the positions of stamens of the flowering plants. Example verification and contrast test results show that the method can better divide and extract single flowers in the inflorescences of the butterfly orchids, and the relatively strong anti-noise property is achieved. By means of the method, the single flowers in the inflorescences of the butterfly orchids can be better extracted, and compared with manual extracting results, the accuracy achieves 91.5%.
