Abstract

The present invention provides a sheet discharge device and an image forming device using the same. The sheet discharge device includes a discharge path, a discharge portion, and a pressing member. The pressing member takes a hanging posture and a retracting posture. The hanging posture refers to the posture of hanging from the swing center above the discharge path to block the discharge path. The pressing member has a side portion protruding toward the discharge path facing the discharge portion in the hanging posture, and a bottom portion connected to the lower end of the side portion and extending downstream in the discharge direction. The bottom portion includes an inclined surface that inclines upward toward the central portion in the width direction of the sheet in the hanging posture.
