Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a color gamut adjusting method and a device for a color image. The color gamut adjusting method comprises the following steps: carrying out color space conversion on the color image in an RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color space to obtain tone of each pixel point; evenly dividing a circular distribution diagram into N axes according to the number N of primary colors, wherein the axes represent the primary colors, and angles formed between the axes represent assorted colors; according to the position of the tone of each pixel point in the color image on the circular distribution diagram and a preset algorithm, calculating a saturation gain value of each pixel point, and adjusting the saturation of each pixel point according to the saturation gain value of each pixel point; converting the color image after saturation adjustment back to the RGB color space; converting the color image after saturation adjustment from the RGB color space to an RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) color space and outputting the color image.
