Abstract

The invention provides a method for detecting calligraphy and paintings based on textural features. The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining a Chinese art paper digital image of authentic calligraphy or an authentic painting; preprocessing the Chinese art paper digital image, and thereby obtaining a preprocessed Chinese art paper digital image; extracting the textural features by using an SURF algorithm; carrying out textural feature matching on calligraphy or a painting to be detected, if matching, determining that the calligraphy or painting to be detected is an authentic work; and otherwise, determining that the calligraphy or painting to be detected is a fake. According to the method for detecting calligraphy and paintings based on the textural features provided by the invention, when the method is used for detecting authenticity or fallacy of the contemporary calligraphy or painting, the features of the authentic calligraphy or painting are extracted, cluster centers are obtained by using a bidirectional FLANN algorithm in combination with feature point clustering, a square area is captured by adopting each cluster center as a center, and authenticity or fallacy of the calligraphy or painting is judged by the highest similarity of the square areas, thus being capable of rapidly and accurately distinguishing authenticity or fallacy of the calligraphy and paintings, and preventing lawbreakers from faking the calligraphy and paintings.
