Embodiment Construction

[0040] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

[0041] The lighting evaluation device shown as an embodiment of the present invention is used to evaluate a lighting environment (visibility) by an arbitrary light source. The lighting evaluation device includes, for example, figure 1 elements shown. The illumination evaluation device includes an optotype presentation unit 1 and an inspection result recording unit 2 .

[0042] The optotype presentation unit 1 presents an optotype at an arbitrary inspection position on an irradiated surface irradiated with illumination light emitted from a light source. This optotype is used to measure the contrast sensitivity of the observer looking at the illuminated surface. The optotype presenting unit 1 can be realized by, for example, a board or paper on which an optotype is drawn.

[0043]Contrast sensitivity refers to the visual ability to distinguish the object of gaze from the bac...

Abstract

An illumination evaluation device which evaluates an illumination environment from an arbitrary light source comprises: a visual sign presentation means for presenting, in arbitrary examination locations upon an illumination face (12) whereupon illumination light emitted from a light source is projected, visual signs (13) for acquiring a contrast sensitivity of an observer who views the illumination face (12); and an examination result recording means for acquiring contrast sensitivity values when the observer has viewed the visual signs (13) which are presented by the visual sign presentation means and recording the acquired contrast sensitivity values and location information of the examination locations. An observability of the arbitrary locations upon the illumination face (12) of the light source is evaluated from the contrast sensitivity values.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an illumination evaluation device and an illumination evaluation method for evaluating illumination light. Background technique [0002] As a technique for checking the eyesight of an observer, for example, techniques described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 below are known. [0003] Patent Document 1 describes a night vision testing device that presents an optotype in a dark field after the subject's eye has been brightly adapted, and measures the visual recovery time until the visual target can be recognized. This night-time vision testing device includes an optotype brightness variable unit that changes the brightness of an optotype, and an optotype lighting unit that presents an optotype with dim brightness as an initial value for measurement. [0004] Patent Document 2 describes a night vision meter that includes: a normal vision test unit that measures vision when an optotype is displayed in a normal brightness spac...
