Abstract

The invention relates to an electric connector with a function of short-circuit protection, and the connector comprises a short-circuit mechanism. The short-circuit mechanism comprises an insulator and contact pieces. The insulator is provided with contact piece installation holes which are corresponding to the contact pieces. The insulator is also provided with a printed board which is provided with at least two printed board contact parts. The printed board is also provided with printed board circuits which are respectively connected with the corresponding printed board contact parts. Each contact piece is provided with a contact piece contact part which is in electrical contact connection with the corresponding printed board contact part. Each contact piece is provided with a short-circuit position and a short-circuit elimination position, wherein the short-circuit positions are used for enabling the contact piece contact parts to be in electrical contact connection with the corresponding printed board contact parts, and the short-circuit elimination positions are pushed by adaptive contact pieces of an adapter connector to move backwards from the short-circuit positions until the contact piece contact parts are separated from the corresponding printed board contact parts. Reset springs are disposed between the printed board or the insulator and the corresponding contact pieces.
