A switch comprises a plurality of business plates, and a configuration file in the switch includes original configuration information and format limited information corresponding to all of the business plates. The switch configuration management method comprises the following steps: receiving updated configuration information; determining a target business plate corresponding to the updated configuration information, and obtaining the format limited information of the target business plate; modifying the updated configuration information according to the format limited information of the target business plate so as to obtain standard configuration information of the target business plate; and replacing the original configuration information of the target business plate with the standard configuration information. The updated configuration information is converted into the standard configuration information to effectively avoid format errors caused when the configuration information of the target business plate is modified, thereby avoiding the condition that the switch cannot be normally operated due to the format errors of the configuration information of the target business plate.
