Abstract

The invention provides a compression method based on HEVC, and is applied to the field of video multimedia coding. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a video data flow to be compressed with a YUV format; splitting the video data flow to be compressed into a plurality of video data segments, with continuous video frames, matched with the number of current computing cores according to an MPI message passing model, and outputting the video data segments; respectively reading the video data segments matched with the computing cores and carrying out synchronous HEVC coding compression calculation on the video data segments by the computing cores to obtain a plurality of corresponding video binary code streams and storing the video binary code streams; merging the video binary code streams to obtain an HEVC format video file corresponding to the video data flow to be compressed. Through a parallelizing mechanism, multimedia video frames are distributed on the different computing cores, and coding compression is also carried out, so that the efficiency for HEVC compression is greatly improved.
