Abstract

Real-time management of multiple display windows on screens of multiple users is considered, each user is allowed to retain a request in an area of the corresponding screen, and each user has a priority value which indicates rights level of using the corresponding screen. The method includes: dividing one screen into mesh area units; on receiving a request from a requesting user, determining a target window formed by one or multiple mesh area units and covering the retained area, determining whether or not to allow the requesting user to use the target window; if yes, using the target window as a new window distributed to the requesting user; if the target window overlaps any distributed display window, adjusting (adjusting the size or removing) the distributed windows to avoid overlapping the target window; tiling all the distributed display windows one by one according to priority values of the users in order to maximize usage of the screens.
