Embodiment Construction
[0020] The present invention generally relates to methods, systems and devices for managing imaging protocols used by organizations such as hospitals. Various embodiments described herein provide several benefits to the organization. For example, using the techniques described herein, a node-based system is used to group image scanners by type. These packets can then be used to optimize administrative tasks, such as processing and distributing updates to imaging protocols. In some embodiments, the node-based system stores imaging protocols in a centralized repository. Such a centralized repository of imaging protocols would help improve image reproducibility and consistency across sites and departments associated with an organization. In turn, this can help reduce some of the costs associated with performing imaging. The disclosed methods, systems and devices may be applied, for example, to imaging modalities such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
