The method comprises the following steps of: measuring the load and determining a load interval corresponding to the measured load value; calculating a difference value between the load value and a minimum value in the load interval to obtain a load spillage amount; determining a spillage interval corresponding to the load spillage amount; determining a load level corresponding to the load interval; determining the spillage level corresponding to the spillage interval; determining the color of emitted light corresponding to the load level according to the corresponding relation between the load level and the color of the emitted light; determining the light-emitting intensity corresponding to the spillage level according to the corresponding relation between the spillage level and the light-emitting intensity; controlling the color of the light emitted from an LED according to the color of the emitted light; and controlling the light-emitting intensity of the LED according to the light-emitting intensity. The control method and system disclosed by the invention have the effects that the LED carpet can be controlled by the load of a walker, the colors of different types and intensities can be displayed according to different loads, and the diversified light-emitting effect can be displayed.
