Abstract

The invention relates to the communication technical field and discloses a mobile terminal and a ringtone response method thereof. The mobile terminal supports at least two SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) cards. The method comprises the following steps of (A) pre-establishing a plurality of ringtone channels and distributing at least one ringtone channel for each SIM card, wherein the different SIM cards are corresponding to different ringtone channels, and the different ringtone channels are corresponding to different playing ringtones; (B) when a call or a short message is received, determining the SIM card corresponding to the call or the short message; (C) searching the corresponding ringtone channel according to the determined SIM card; and (D) issuing a first instruction for indicating ringtone playing through the searched ringtone channel. Through the method, a user can distinguish the SIM card to which the call belongs quickly in order to be convenience for a user to use.
