The invention also discloses a paper currency identification device based on the optically-variable hollowed windowing security line. According to the invention, by taking advantages of the periodicity of the optically-variable hollowed windowing security line, and calculating numbers of wave peaks and wave troughs of curves after the optically-variable hollowed windowing security line is transformed, the optically-variable hollowed windowing security line can be precisely analyzed and identification results can be obtained.
