The method comprises the following steps: acquiring trigger information for representing that the mobile terminal is in a lost state; starting a microphone of the mobile terminal according to the trigger information to acquire audio data of a surrounding environment; judging whether the volume of the audio data exceeds a preset audio threshold or not; if the volume of the audio data is judged to exceed the preset audio threshold, recording audio data of first preset duration; judging whether a first network connection exists or not; and if the first network connection exists, returning the audio data through the first network connection. Through adoption of the method, the device and the system, the audio data can be returned after the mobile terminal is lost and can represent an environment in which the mobile terminal is, and a reference basis is provided for tracking of the mobile terminal.
