Abstract

Provided is a pre-preg sheet production device (1) that connects pre-preg cut sheets atop a pre-preg base fabric (P1). The device is provided with a main transport path (3), a gap detection unit (10, 19) that detects a gap between front and rear pre-preg cut sheets (P2, P2), and a welding unit that welds the front and rear pre-preg cut sheets together via the pre-preg base fabric. The gap detection unit has a downstream pressing portion that presses a rear end of a leading pre-preg cut sheet, an upstream pressing portion that presses a front end of a subsequent pre-preg cut sheet, and a gap detection sensor that detects a gap between these pre-preg cut sheets.
