[0025] This disclosure describes methods and apparatus for recording images using a lens array (eg, an NxN camera array), where various monochromatic lenses within the array each provide imaging data in a shade of a single color. Multiple composite images are recorded, each composite image being recorded using three lenses providing imaging data in three different colors. Color fringing regions are identified in a plurality of composite images, and a defringing algorithm is applied to at least one of the composite images to mitigate color fringing and generate a corrected composite image.
