Abstract

A method and apparatus for determining the orientation of a video are presented. The method comprises the steps of: estimating motion of the video; extracting translation-based parameters from the estimated motion of the video; and calculating at least one of the evolutions of the horizontal translation over time relative to the evolution of the vertical translation based on the translation-based parameters.
