224 results about "Vertical translation" patented technology

In geometry, a vertical translation (also known as vertical shift) is a translation of a geometric object in a direction parallel to the vertical axis of the Cartesian coordinate system. Often, vertical translations are considered for the graph of a function. If f is any function of x, then the graph of the function f(x) + c (whose values are given by adding a constant c to the values of f) may be obtained by a vertical translation of the graph of f(x) by distance c. For this reason the function f(x) + c is sometimes called a vertical translate of f(x). For instance, the antiderivatives of a function all differ from each other by a constant of integration and are therefore vertical translates of each other.

Device for the vertical and automatic wedging of a vehicle seat

A device for wedging an adjustable removable seat vertically in a C-shaped slideway, the seat being secured to an underframe having a subassembly able to run in the C-shaped slideway, the subassembly including a catch collaborating with a return of the slideway, and a retaining hook able to collaborate with the return of the slideway when the seat is subjected to an impact energy, the device including a vertical journal mounted to rotate in a bearing of the underframe, a member for wedging in terms of vertical translation, connected in terms of rotation to a lower end of the journal and having, when viewed from above, a generally rectangular overall shape a shortest dimension of the rectangular shape being less than a width of a groove of the C-shaped slideway and a longest dimension of the rectangular shape being greater than the width of the groove, so as to be able, in a wedged position, to sit under the internal returns of the slideway, a spring constantly returning the wedging member to the wedged position, a pivoting means for pivoting the journal against action of a return spring of the journal into a position in which the wedging member can be engaged in the groove of the slideway, and a helical ramp, rotatable with the journal to collaborate with a fixed complementary bearing surface to move the wedging member vertically into contact with the return of the slideway.

Processor-controlled carving and multi-purpose shaping device

One embodiment of the present invention is a compact, low-cost, lightweight, versatile and easy-to-operate, processor-controlled carving and multi-purpose shaping device (“PCCMPS machine”). The PCCMPS machine that represents one embodiment of the present invention is configured, in part, similarly to common, commercially available portable wood planers and ubiquitous laser and ink-jet computer printers, with work pieces fed into the PCCMPS machine in a horizontal direction. The PCCMPS machine includes a motor-powered cutting head that can power detachable bits to drill, cut, shape, and rout a work piece under processor and computer control. The cutting head may be translated, under processor control, back and forth across the surface of the work piece in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the work piece is fed into the PCCMPS machine and moved by motor-powered rollers. The cutting head may be translated up and down, in a vertical direction, approximately perpendicular to the surface of the work piece. The processor can thus position a cutting bit at any point on a surface of, near the surface of, or within the work piece, via a combination of lateral and vertical translations of the cutting head and horizontal translation of the work piece, and can control the speed at which the bit rotates as the computer moves the rotating bit from one position to another position relative to the surface of the work piece in order to carve and shape elaborate, three-dimensional designs onto the work piece.

Quick image registration method based on visual remarkable area

The present invention discloses a quick image registration method based on a visual remarkable area, which belongs to the field of image processing. The quick image registration method is used for matching an image A to be matched with a reference image B and respectively acquiring remarkable areas of A and B. The mass centers of three remarkable areas of A are vertexes of a triangle, and the triangle is used as a first characteristic triangle. Similarly a second characteristic triangle is acquired. The first characteristic triangle and the second characteristic triangle which are similar form a similar triangle pair, wherein the similarity of (a,b) is maximal. An affine transformation model for transforming from A to B is established based on (a,b), wherein the related initial matching parameters comprise horizontal translation amount, vertical translation amount, rotation angle and scale parameter. From the initial matching parameter, Powell searching for setting step length is performed for acquiring searching values. Each searching value is used for performing multiple registration tests on the A and B, and the searching value which corresponds with an optical registration test is the optimal matching parameter as a result. The optimal matching parameter is used for performing affine transformation on A for acquiring a final registration result.

Five-freedom-degree earthquake simulation vibrating table for on-bridge railway tracks

Provided is a five-freedom-degree earthquake simulation vibrating table for on-bridge railway tracks. The end portion of each bridge body of a bridge is arranged on a side plate of a box type base, and the tracks are installed on the upper surface of the bridge bodies. a horizontal electro-hydraulic servo actuator, a left-side vertical electro-hydraulic servo actuator and a right-side vertical electro-hydraulic servo actuator are hinged to a base plate of the box type base. The actuating end of the horizontal electro-hydraulic servo actuator is sequentially hinged to the side faces of the bridge bodies of the bridge through a vertical connecting rod and a horizontal connecting rod, and the middle of the vertical connecting rod is further hinged to a support block of the box type base. The actuating ends of the left-side vertical electro-hydraulic servo actuator and the right-side vertical electro-hydraulic servo actuator are hinged to the bottoms of the bridge bodies. The five-freedom-degree earthquake simulation vibrating table can achieve five-freedom-degree movements including vertical translation, horizontal translation, rolling, nodding and shaking of the tracks, completely simulate seismic waves of the on-bridge railway tracks and large road distortion deformation caused by an earthquake and further obtain incentive data of the seismic waves, and provides an important test basis for railway train operation safe and structural earthquake-resistant design and safe operation management.

Battery pack capacity estimation method considering parallel battery difference

The invention discloses a battery pack capacity estimation method considering parallel battery difference. The method comprises steps that S1, based on the Kirchhoff's voltage law, a battery charging voltage expression is established; S2, a mathematics change method is utilized to make an aged charging voltage-capacity curve and a standard curve superpose; the aged charging voltage-capacity curve is made to realize vertical translation for deltaU to make the aged charging voltage-capacity curve and the standard curve superpose at a charging platform period, the battery aging curve after vertical translation is transversely stretched for k times and is then made to realize vertical translation to make the two curves superpose, and capacity of the single battery after aging can be expressed as C2=C1/k; S3, according to the bucket effect principle, battery pack capacity is expressed as Cpack=min(Ci)=min(Cri)+Cc; and S4, on the hypothesis that parameters of single batteries of normal single batteries are respectively consistent, the battery pack capacity is estimated through utilizing capacity of the normal single battery, Cpack=C0*SOClimit_V. The method is advantaged in that influence of parallel single battery difference on single battery capacity is considered, and safety of each single battery is guaranteed.
