Abstract

Provided are a method and device of extracting features from an image. The method comprises: employing a first feature point detection algorithm to determine candidate feature points of all pixels in an image; and utilizing an HARRIS algorithm to determine feature points of the candidate feature points. A great amount of non feature points are removed before utilizing an HARRIS algorithm to determine feature points, so that the calculated amount in a feature extraction process is greatly reduced.
