Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for generating a page click distribution picture. The method comprises the steps that (1) a server collects display page click behavior data of different user sides, wherein the click behavior data comprises clicked elements and element paths; (2) the click behavior data is correlated with page access data; (3) the server retrieves the page access data according to screening information to obtain target page access data, and statistics is conducted on target click behavior data corresponding to the target page access data; and (4) statistic results corresponding to the element paths are displayed. According to the invention, statistics of the click number is based on the element paths, so even if a website designer changes arrangement layout of elements in a page according to demands, continuous computation can still be achieved for statistics of the click number of the same element, and accuracy of statistical data can be ensured.
