Abstract

The invention relates to a dual-imaging method and system based on the radial polarization characteristic of a vector optical field. On the basis of a characteristic that a vector light beam of which the polarization state varies radially is utilized to generate to two focuses with an interval distance therebetween controlled by optical control parameters, a dual-image interval adjustable dual-imaging system is set up. The experimental system of the invention comprises a vector light source, a lens and an image detector; a spatial light modulator can modulate incident light carrying image information, and an optical system is used in cooperation to modulate the incident light in a subsequent stage, and therefore, the vector light beam of which the polarization state varies radially is obtained; the light beam passes through the lens; an image capturing device is utilized to receive spatial modulation light and detect the intensity values of different portions of the spatial modulation light passing through the lens; and therefore, an image of the modulation light is formed in the image capturing device. Double-focusing imaging is a major breakthrough in optical imaging. The dual-imaging method and system of the present invention are designed on the basis of the transmission characteristics of the vector optical field; and the optical parameters that affect the interval of the imaging focuses of the double-focusing imaging can be obtained.
