The antenna control method comprises the steps of controlling an LTE (Long Term Evolution) module to send an antenna sharing instruction to a WIFI (Wireless Fidelity) module when it is detected that the LTE module is in an idle state, wherein the antenna sharing instruction carries allowed sharing duration; obtaining network traffic of a current period when the WIFI module receives the antenna sharing instruction sent by the LTE module and the allowed sharing duration reaches preset duration; and if the network traffic is smaller than a preset threshold value, controlling an antenna mode of the WIFI module to be switched from a single-antenna mode to a double-antenna mode. According to the embodiment of the invention, through reasonable control over the switching frequency of the single-antenna mode and the double-antenna mode, the WIFI module can be intelligently switched between asingle antenna and double antennas, the network performance of the WIFI module can be improved, and a downloading rate and fluency of performing network tasks by the electronic device can be improved.
