Abstract

The invention provides a patent classification method and apparatus. The method comprises the steps of obtaining patent information of to-be-classified patents; performing analysis processing on the patent information to form a keyword set; inputting the keyword set to a pre-established classification engine for performing classification identification, and outputting a matching degree with each group in a keyword dictionary library of the classification engine, wherein the keyword dictionary library of the classification engine is obtained by pre-training; and determining the group with the highest matching degree as a grouping result of the patents. The patent classification can be simply, conveniently and quickly realized; a classification result can better meet management needs of enterprises; and the workload of enterprise patent management is greatly reduced.
