Abstract

According to the implementation of the present disclosure, a query processing solution is proposed. In this approach, multiple subsets of data are pre-stored, for example in a rapidly accessible storage device, for data analysis. Each subset of data may include data entries corresponding to one or more dimensions. When multiple target dimensions corresponding to multiple query items of a received query need to be covered by two or more data subsets, instead of turning to analyze the unstored source data set, the query can be decomposed into multiple subsets Inquire. Such decomposition can be such that the target dimension associated with each subquery's query term is covered by a single subset of data. A corresponding subset of data is analyzed for each subquery and based on the analysis results of the plurality of subqueries, a query result for the query is determined.
