Abstract

A simple, integrated component assembly around a modular solid state heater and incorporating an intuitive consumer user interface (CUI) enables the application of self-heating capabilities to standard beverage cans. The CUI includes an actuation mechanism for the user to activate heating, and a novel means to open the can to access the heated beverage.
