The invention discloses a highway exit ramp area safety evaluation method comprising the following steps: analyzing types of traffic conflicts according to gathered traffic conflict data, using a driving simulator to build a traffic conflict scene in a highway ramp area, gathering response time of the driver and emergency brake deceleration data, and further building response times of the driver under different scenes and the emergency brake deceleration probability density distribution; aiming at each simulation conflict, deducing the corresponding accident formation probability according tothe specific scene; carrying out scene classification according to real happening conditions for each specific lane changing conflict, and using the accident probability calculating method of the corresponding scene to solve the accident probability; accumulating the conflict accident probability, obtaining the accident prediction number in an observation period, or obtaining the accident prediction number in a specific time through conversion.
