Embodiment 1

[0061] Example 1. Determination of the Correlation Between Specific SNPs and Feed Conversion Efficiency Traits

[0062] Experimental animals: 350 individuals of the F2 generation obtained by reciprocal hybridization of mallard ducks and Peking ducks.

[0063] 1. Determination of feed conversion efficiency

[0064] Feed the test animals under the same feed and the same conditions, and use the test animals to eat and drink freely during the whole process, record the body weight of each test animal at the age of 21 (i.e. the initial body weight) and the body weight at the age of 56 (end body weight), and record the weight of each test animal at the same time. The total feed intake of the experimental animals from the age of 21 to 56 days.

[0066] 1. Blood sample collection

[0067] Wing venous blood of experimental animals was collected with heparin sodium anticoagulant blood collection tubes, and stored at -20°C for future use.

Embodiment 2

[0078] Example 2. Application of specific SNPs in genetic improvement of feed conversion efficiency traits

[0079] Test animals: 185 Peking ducks.

[0080] 1. Detection of genotype based on specific SNP loci

[0081] 1. Blood sample collection

[0082] Wing venous blood of experimental animals was collected with heparin sodium anticoagulant blood collection tubes, and stored at -20°C for future use.

[0083] 2. Genomic DNA extraction

[0084] Take the venous blood obtained in step 1, and extract genomic DNA.

[0085] 3. Genotype detection

[0086] Using the genomic DNA obtained in step 2 as a template, the primer pair composed of F1 and R1 is used for PCR amplification, and then the PCR amplification product is sequenced.

[0087] The results showed that all 185 experimental animals obtained PCR amplification products with a size of 273bp.

[0088] Based on the specific SNP, 185 test animals were divided into three genotypes, AA genotype (51 test animals), CC genotype (...

Abstract

The invention discloses a molecular marker related to the feed conversion efficiency character of meat ducks and application thereof. The invention provides a method for detecting the feed conversionefficiency characters of ducks to be detected. The method comprises the following steps: the genotype based on a specific SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) of the duck to be detected, the feed conversion efficiency of the AA genotype duck to be detected is higher than that of the AC genotype duck to be detected, and the feed conversion efficiency of the AC genotype duck to be detected is higherthan that of the CC genotype duck to be detected. On the basis of the genotype of the SNP site, the selection of the feed conversion efficiency characters can be realized, the feed conversion efficiency of the AA genotype duck is superior to that of the AC genotype duck and the CC genotype duck, and the feed conversion efficiency of the AC genotype duck is superior to that of the CC genotype duck. The molecular marker disclosed by the invention has the beneficial effects that early selection for the feed conversion efficiency characters can be realized, the production cost can be saved, the genetic progress can be accelerated, the breeding of the ducks can be better served and the economic application value and the scientific research are very large.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of biotechnology, relates to a molecular marker-assisted selection technology in the technical field of animal genetics and breeding, in particular to a molecular marker related to the feed conversion efficiency traits of meat ducks and an application thereof. Background technique [0002] China is one of the first countries in the world to domesticate and raise wild ducks, and has bred more than 30 unique duck germplasm resources such as Peking duck, Gaoyou duck, and Shaoxing duck. Duck meat and its processed by-products such as duck neck, duck wings, and duck feet have a very broad mass base in China, which greatly enriches the food culture of the Chinese people. With the development of large-scale breeding, the demand for feed for animal husbandry production is also increasing year by year, and the contradiction between humans and animals competing for food has become increasingly prominent. According to estimates...
