Abstract

The embodiments of the present invention disclose a user similarity-based cross-domain scoring method and a scoring device. The invention aims to solve the problem of cold start of potential users ina target domain. The method provided by the embodiments of the present invention includes the following steps that: a user-item scoring matrix in a target domain and a user-item scoring matrix in an auxiliary domain are obtained, users in the target domain are included in users in the auxiliary domain; the values of similarity between the users in the auxiliary domain are obtained according to theuser-item scoring matrix of the auxiliary domain; and the predicted scores of the users in the auxiliary domain for corresponding target items in the target domain are calculated according to the values of similarity between the users in the auxiliary domain and the user-item scoring matrix in the target domain, wherein the target items are items which are not scored in the target domain by the users in the auxiliary domain. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a scoring device for solving the problem of the cold start of potential users in the target domain.
