Abstract

The systems and methods of the present invention involve an axial flux stator implemented in place of a drive end magnet and a drive motor. The axial flux stator includes control circuitry to control voltage and current supplied to the stator, individually or in combination, to measure torque and rotational speed, and to measure flux and flux density produced by the axial flux stator and impeller magnets. Axial flux stators include multiple current carrying elements for generating magnetic flux in the axial direction and driving the impeller.
