The method runs in parallel with an application program on the target node. The method comprises the steps that the target node on the RS485 bus periodically sends a heartbeat detection data packet including a node address toother nodes on the RS485 bus, wherein the heartbeat detection data packet is used for requesting a node specified by the node address to feed back a response data packet to the target node; and it isdetermined that the communication link between the target node and the node specified by the node address is abnormal if the target node does not receive the response data packet used for respondingto the heartbeat detection data packet within a preset period of time.
