Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for managing multiple disks. The method includes, in response to receiving a write request for a first stripe of a redundant array of independent disks (RAID), finding a sector mapped to the first stripe. RAID is built on multiple segments divided by multiple disks. The method also includes selecting a first set of sectors in a free state from among sectors of a plurality of disks in response to not finding a sector mapped to the first stripe. The method further includes mapping the first slice to the first set of extents.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the field of data storage, and more particularly, to methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for managing multiple disks. Background technique [0002] Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) technology is a data storage virtualization technology. According to the virtualization technology, one or more RAIDs can be established on multiple physical storage disks to provide various features such as data redundancy and performance improvement. RAID performs data writing and reading in units of stripes. Some traditional RAIDs write data evenly at the disk level. Specifically, when writing data, the data of each stripe of the RAID is evenly written to multiple disks used to build the system, so that the overall data of the RAID is evenly distributed on the multiple disks. Such a system may have defects in disk management, data reading and writing, and other aspects. [0003] With the developm...
