Techniques for maintaining connectivity between a remote application stored on a remote device and an application being executed in a system environment, wherein the system environment is migrated from a first device to a second device, are provided. A first connection between the remote application stored on the remote device and the application being executed in the system environment stored on the first device is established via a first communication over a first negotiation channel. The first negotiation channel connects a first socket layer interface linked to the application being executed in the system environment to a second socket layer interface linked to the remote application. The first connection between the remote application and the application being executed in the system environment is disconnected for migration of the system environment from the first device to the second device. Disconnecting the first connection is coordinated via the first negotiation channel. A second connection between the remote application stored on the remote device and an application being executed in the migrated system environment stored on the second device is established via a second communication over a second negotiation channel. The second negotiation channel connects a third socket layer interface linked to the application being executed in the migrated system environment to the second socket layer interface linked to the remote application.

The link failure processing method includes: when a stack member device of an IRF is determined to be in a forbidden state, the stack member device transmits informing massages to upstream and downstream devices to enable the upstream and downstream devices to be in informing states, and then business data can be prevented from being transmitted to the stack member device, wherein the informing state shows that the upstream and downstream devices receive business data transmitted by the stack member device but not transmit the business data to the stack member device; simultaneously, the stack member device keeps hardware forwarding table items to be invariable, transmits the remaining business data on the stack member device to the upstream and downstream devices according to the hardware forwarding table items and turns into the forbidden state when all the remaining business data are determined to be forwarded. By means of the link failure processing method, the IRF member device and the data communication device, the phenomenon of package loss when the IRF stack member device is in the forbidden state is avoided.

The embodiment of the invention discloses a thermal migration method and device for virtual machine direct connection equipment. One specific embodiment of the method comprises the following steps: executing a register state synchronization method by calling a register state synchronization interface, and synchronizing a register state of source end virtual machine direct connection equipment to atarget end virtual machine; cancelling a transparent transfer state of the source end virtual machine direct connection equipment, and iteratively executing the following synchronization operations in multiple rounds and migrating the source end virtual machine direct connection equipment to the target end virtual machine: executing the register state synchronization method by calling the register state synchronization interface, capturing a read-write operation on a register of the source end virtual machine direct connection equipment in a migration process, and executing the captured read-write operation on a register of the target end virtual machine direct connection equipment; and executing a DMA dirty page synchronization method by calling a DMA dirty page transmission interface, and writing data corresponding to a DMA dirty page of the source end virtual machine direct connection equipment into a memory of the target end virtual machine. The embodiment of the invention can realize the thermal migration of direct connection equipment without changing a kernel of a virtual machine.
