[0015] Forty patients (26 males and 14 females) with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) were selected from the pathological archives of Hiroshima University Hospital in Japan and Peradeniya University in Sri Lanka, including 11 cases with lymph node metastasis. The age at diagnosis ranged from 23 to 86 years old (mean, 58.1 years old). According to the criteria of the Japan Head and Neck Cancer Society, 12 cases were benign, 19 cases were moderate, and 9 cases were poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. In addition, 6 cases of normal oral mucosa were used as normal controls. For immunohistochemical examination, tissues were fixed in 10% buffered formalin and embedded in paraffin. After the antigen was repaired by microwave in citrate buffer (pH 6.0), immunohistochemical staining was carried out by Aurora-B kinase monoclonal antibody (Transducer, San Diego, California, USA, diluted 1:50), and the LSA...
