Abstract

The invention provides a video playback method and device and a computer readable storage medium, which are used for reducing search waiting time of a user during video playback. The video playback method provided by the invention comprises the following steps: determining a time range of primary incremental search according to a target playing time point and a preset search parameter, wherein thetime range comprises at least two search segments; searching video files in each search segment in sequence according to a search sequence determined by a preset search rule, when the video files aresearched out from one search segment, judging whether the video files meet playing conditions or not, if yes, starting to play back the video files, and after the video files of one search segment are searched out, continuing to search for the video files in other unsearched search segments in sequence according to the search sequence.
