[0209] Thirty-six female BALB / c mice (18-20 g, 6-8 weeks) were obtained from the Experimental Animal Center (Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, China) and were treated with standard laboratory Food and drinking water feeding. It was handled according to the guidelines set forth by the International Committee of Scientific Organizations for Experimental Animal Medicine (World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland) and by the National Cheng Kung University. Mice in the DED group were treated by topical administration of 0.2% BAC dissolved in PBS twice a day (8AM and 8PM) for 7 days. BAC therapy was administered for the duration of the treatment regimen, and BAC was administered 4 hours prior to administration of therapeutic agents (PBS, IgG, 7E).
