Abstract

The invention relates to a fan impeller (1) of an axial flow ventilator. The fan impeller is provided with a plurality of fan impeller blades (2) which are arranged around a rotating shaft (RA) to form a blade ring. Wherein at least one of the fan impeller blades (2) has a radially inner section (3) and a blade edge section (4) which is directly connected to the inner section (3) and adjoins the blade edge, wherein the at least one fan impeller blade (2) has a local projection (6) by radial extension of the blade edge section (4); and the projection (6) is formed in an extension of the chord length of the fan impeller blade (2) and locally increases the fan impeller blade (2) in the blade edge section (4), wherein an average angle of attack (alpha) of the fan impeller blades (2) with respect to a plane of rotation (RE) of the fan impeller is greater than an average angle of attack (beta) of the projection (6) with respect to the plane of rotation (RE).
