Abstract

The invention discloses application of fraxinone in preparation of a medicine for treating or preventing herpes virus infection, and belongs to the field of biological medicine. The fraxinone is found to be capable of remarkably inhibiting the generation of infectious herpes virus particles in a non-toxic range and inhibiting the replication of herpes viruses, and the fraxinone or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can be used for preparing the medicine for treating or preventing herpes virus infection.
